FAA wants bird strike records confidential

The wreckage of US Airways Flight 1549 is lifted from the waters of lower Manhattan and put on a barge in New York. The Federal Aviation Administration has reversed itself after promising to disclose records about how frequently commercial planes are damaged by hitting flying birds.The Federal Aviation Administration is proposing to keep secret from travelers and the public its vast records on how frequently and where commercial planes are damaged by hitting flying birds.
